Safety Guidelines

LittleStrides Kits are designed to support children with sensory, emotional, and developmental needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). While created by experienced professionals, these kits are not a substitute for individualised therapy, clinical assessment, or medical treatment. We recommend consulting with your child’s treating therapist or healthcare provider before introducing new materials or strategies from the kit.

Supervision & Usage

• All items in this kit must only be used under direct adult supervision.

• Some resources may contain small parts, have potential choking hazards, or present sensory challenges depending on the child’s individual needs.

• Caregivers should use their clinical judgment and knowledge of the child’s developmental level and sensory preferences to decide which items are appropriate.

• Inspect all items before each use; do not use damaged or worn components.

Allergy Awareness

• Some kit items may contain or have been in contact with materials that could trigger allergic reactions (e.g. fragrances & dyes).

• It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to:

  • Be aware of their child’s known allergies or sensitivities before use.

  • Review kit contents and packaging before allowing the child to touch or handle items.

  • Remove or replace any items that may cause an allergic reaction.

• LittleStrides is not responsible for allergic reactions where unsuitable items were not removed prior to use

Developmental Suitability

• These kits are intended to support goals in sensory processing, emotional regulation, communication, and daily living skills.

• They are not one-size-fits-all and not all materials will be suitable for every child.

• Caregivers should monitor how their child engages with the materials and stop any activity immediately if the child experiences discomfort or distress.

• Adults must remove items based on your child’s safety, comfort, and developmental stage.

Liability

By purchasing, receiving, or using this kit, you acknowledge and agree that:

• • LittleStrides, its owners, and employees are not liable for any injury, distress, or harm resulting from use or misuse of the kit contents.

  • Caregivers accept full responsibility for ensuring safe and appropriate use of all included materials.

  • LittleStrides is not responsible for outcomes arising from failure to follow the safety guidelines provided.

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes or limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including guarantees that goods are of acceptable quality and fit for their intended purpose.
